Stars pick up second win in three nights

Dundee Stars picked up their second win in three nights, their third in six days, and second over the Clan in succession, thanks to a 3-1 road win in Glasgow.

The Stars led after 20 minutes thanks to Hugo Reinhardt’s goal at 9:49 on a scrappy play – when Clan failed to clear their zone, Chris Gerrie set up Reinhardt at the top of the circle to shoot through a screen.

The 26-year-old Swede doubled the visitors’ lead 2:20 into period two on the powerplay, finishing off a tic-tac-toe play with the feed from Fabrizio Ricci.

Elijah Barriga’s third goal of the season put the Stars 3-0 ahead just 55 seconds into period three, although Nolan LaPorte got Clan on the board exactly two minutes later.
