OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla – Texas defeated the Barons 2-1 on Friday night in front of 5,321 fans at the Cox Convention Center. Forward Colton Sceviour scored the game-winner and set up the first goal of the night to lead the Stars to victory. Texas goalie Richard Bachman (17-10-2) stuffed the Barons attack with a 28 saves on the night, including 15 saves in the third period to preserve the win. Stars forward Aaron Gagnon also scored, as Texas improved to 21-11-1-2 against the West Division.

The Stars opened the scoring at 7:11 of the second period with a power-play goal by Aaron Gagnon for the 1-0 lead. Forwards Colton Sceviour and Francis Wathier each picked up an assist on the rebound goal, Gagnon’s tenth goal of the season. The Barons countered to tie the game 1-1,
Teemu Hartikainen snapped a wrist shot past Stars goalie Richard Bachman for his 14th goal of the year at 9:12. Texas moved back in front 56 seconds later as Sean Backman slipped a pass to Colton Sceviour at the Barons blueline. Sceviour rifled a shot over the shoulder and past the glove of Barons’ goalie Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers for his ninth goal of the year and a 2-1 Stars lead.
