Stars blank Bruins, 1-0, in OT

Friday night in Dallas, Ben Bishop made 23 saves to help the Stars defeat the Boston Bruins, 1-0, in overtime.

“It’s always nice to get that one in overtime or get into a shootout,” Bishop said. “When you’re riding high like that, it’s tough to lose when you’ve got zero goals up there after 60.”

Jason Dickinson won it for the Stars when he struck with 1:34 gone in the extra session.

“I noticed that [Janmark] was shooting, and I figured I’d go to the side that he was shooting on because there might be a rebound,” Dickinson said.

The Stars improved to 10-7-2.

“He’s (Dickinson) someone that I really trust because he plays the right way,” Stars coach Jim Montgomery said. “His details have been fantastic. His speed and his ability to drive the net on 3-on-3 situations gets us in a lot of advantages.”

Tuukka Rask made 36 saves in his return to action from a leave of absence.

“Good game,” Rask said. “Always try to be good. Try to feel good. Play confident. That’s how I felt today.”
