Dundee Stars welcome Belfast Giants to the DIA on Wednesday night as Week 18 of the 2025/26 Elite Ice Hockey League season begins.
The Stars won both home games against the Giants in the Challenge Cup at the start of the season, but have lost 4-1 and 6–1 in the subsequent league meetings. In Belfast just before Christmas, the Giants ran out 7-1 winners.
Dundee ended a long losing run with a shootout victory in Fife on Hogmanay, and followed that up with a home win over Guildford last Sunday to make it two wins from their last three games.
The Giants enjoyed one of the strongest festive periods in the league, dropping just one point in the four games played between Christmas and New Year in a shootout loss. They were beaten last weekend in Coventry as part of a two-game road trip in England, having won in Manchester the previous night.
