SAN JOSE, Calif. – If the San Jose Sharks thought this was going to be easy, the St. Louis Blues just gave them a wakeup call.   The St. Louis Blues tied the series, with the 4-2 win over the Sharks in tonights game.

St. Louis took their first lead of the series, when Jaden Schwartz scored from the circle beating Martin Jones top shelf just over two minutes into the game.

In the second period, Vince Dunn scored to put the Blues up by two, when his shot from just inside the blue line went through traffic to the back of the net.  The pace was changed when Logan Couture intercepted a puck during a Blues power play.  He then raced through the neutral zone of the ice to beat Jordan Binnington with a shorthanded goal.  While it looked like Binnington would get the save, Couture tucked the puck in under Binnington’s pad.  Then only two minutes later, Couture beat Binnington five-hole from the circle to even the score at 2-2.  The goal was Couture’s thirteenth in post-sesaon.

Robert Bortuzzo puts the Blues back in the lead again, with his first career playoff game, when his shot from the blue line beat Jones in the net at the 16:34 mark of the period. This would be the ultimate game winner and would be the end of the scoring for the second period, as the teams went into their second intermission.

An odd man rush led to a goal by Oskar Sundquist scoring the fourth goal for the Blues with just over three minutes remaining in the third period.

Despite pulling Jones in the net for the extra skater, the Binnington held fast in the net.

Shots were fairly even in the game overall, at 25-26, but the Sharks earned only a single shot on goal for a consecutive 15 minutes of play in the late second and into the third periods.

The teams are tied at 1-1 in the Western Conference Finals, and will travel to St Louis for games three and four.
