In Los Angeles, the visiting Arizona Coyotes picked up their fourth straight win with a 2-1 decision over the Kings.
Adin Hill made 25 saves to get the win as the Yotes improved to 13-11-2.
“Hilly was good again,” Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet said. “He’s unflappable right now, you know. He’s feeling it and it’s a nice story.”
The Coyotes will need to make a decision soon as Antti Raanta and Darcy Kuemper are close to returning to the lineup.
“It’s really nice to know that the staff here in Arizona has confidence in me and I want to give them no reason not to,” Hill said.
Special teams keyed the win with Nick Schmaltz scoring on the power play and and Lawson Crouse potting a shorthanded goal.
“Obviously we’re trying to stop the puck going into our own net, and when you can chip in offensively, it’s a bonus,” Crouse said. “I think we’re just playing to our systems, playing fast and jumping at the right times and getting chances and obviously bearing down at the right times.”
Alec Martinez scored late in the third for the Kings’ lone goal.

Jonathan Quick made 18 saves in the loss.
“We’ve got to play a lot more minutes like we did the last five to seven minutes,” Kings forward Anze Kopitar said. “You could tell there was desperation there. You just got to play like that for 60 minutes.”
