Sheffield Steeldogs bring back Edgars Bebris for another season

SHEFFIELD, U.K.- Latvian forward, Edgars Bebris has re-signed for his third season at the Sheffield Steeldogs.
 
At the age of 13, Bebris moved from Latvia to England where he played for the “Sheffield Junior Steelers”.
 
Bebris returned to his home country in 2007 where he started his professional career, playing for teams such as “Dinamo Juniors” in Belarus and “HK Ogre” in Latvia.
 
The 6’4” power-forward returned to Sheffield to play for the Steeldogs in 2010.
 
In his two complete seasons at the Steeldogs, Bebris has played 111 games and recorded 78 points.
 
Steeldogs owner, Shane Smith, said, “ We are looking forward to seeing what Eddie brings this season as we believe he will continue to develop and be one of our best players going forward”.

With 18 goals and 21 assists in 57 games last season, Bebris became a valuable part of the Steeldogs forward line.
Head Coach, Andre Payette, expressed his excitement at the prospect of the Latvian forward in a Steeldogs jersey for a third season, “ I am really excited to have Eddie back and I am expecting him to be one of our key offensive players”.
“I will be very surprised if Eddie doesn’t score 30 goals next season and expect him to be one of our top goal scorers”.
