In Buffalo Wednesday, the Ottawa Senators got a strong game from goalie Mike Condon in a 2-1 win over the Sabres in a shootout.
Condon had 31 saves through overtime and then stopped two of the three shooters in the skills competition.
“That’s a lot of resiliency, coming from [Tuesday]’s game (a 3-1 loss to the Nashville Predators), playing late in the night, getting here late in the night, they are waiting for us and we knew they are going to have more energy for us,” Senators coach Guy Boucher said. “We were trailing also in the shootout and came back, so a lot of resiliency and guys are real proud of them because it’s a tough back-to-back.

“Coach has been stressing, talking about the ugly 76 percent of goals,” Dzingel said. “Got a good-looking one there.”
