SCOTLAND, UK – Solway Sharks maintained their unbeaten record in the Scottish National League (SNL) with two victories over the weekend.

The Sharks were given a fright by a hard-working North Ayrshire Wild outfit on Saturday, with the home side restricting the league leaders to just a single goal by the 40-minute mark.

However, Martin Grubb’s side pulled away in the final period to record a 7-0 victory – Jaakko Heiskanen (2), Peter Gapa (2), Scott Crane (2) and Ruairi Lockerbie got their goals.

Solway found things much easier the following day as they produced a thoroughly dominating performance on home ice against Paisley Pirates.

The visitors had no answer to the rampant Sharks who ran out emphatic 14-3 winners – Iain Bowie and Scott Henderson both weighed in with hat-tricks for Solway.

Dundee Comets are through to the semi-finals of the Stuart Robertson Cup (SRC) after claiming top spot in the northern group. The Comets triumphed 5-4 at home to Dundee Tigers and followed up with a 4-3 victory over Aberdeen Lynx.

Kilmarnock Thunder’s struggles continued as they were beaten 27-0 on home ice by Paisley in the southern section.
