SCOTLAND, UK – Paisley Pirates kicked off their Scottish National League (SNL) campaign with a pair of victories over the weekend.
The Pirates recorded a 9-2 win at Kilmarnock Thunder and followed up with a 5-2 success on home ice against Dundee Tigers.
Kirkcaldy Kestrels progressed to the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup with a comfortable 21-7 aggregate victory over Solway Stingrays.
Conor Duncan, Scott Jamieson and Robin Floyd all hit hat-tricks in a 15-4 success on home ice, while Duncan weighed in with a double as the Kestrels triumphed 6-3 in Dumfries.
Aberdeen Lynx completed their Stuart Robertson Cup fixtures with a 15-0 win at Dundee Tigers – Jordan Leyden (2), Andy Murphy (2) and Ross McIntosh (2) topped their scoring.
Murrayfield Racers are still searching for their first points in the NIHL North Cup after falling 9-4 at Telford Tigers.
