SCOTLAND, UK – Murrayfield Racers are through to the Scottish Cup Final after completing an 11-3 aggregate victory over Kirkcaldy Kestrels.
The Racers led 6-0 after the first leg and goals by Michael Ireland (2), Callum Boyd, Ethan Reid and Joel Gautschi secured a 5-3 success in the reverse fixture.
Tony Hand’s side will now face either Dundee Comets or Aberdeen Lynx at Dundee Ice Arena on Saturday, 11th May.
In the SNL play-offs, the Comets booked their place at the Final Four Weekend courtesy of a 10-7 aggregate victory against Aberdeen.
Dundee kicked off the quarter-final tie with a 6-2 win on the road and although they lost 5-4 back on home ice they progressed to the last four.
Paisley Pirates are in pole position to reach the semi-finals after securing a 7-1 victory at Dundee Tigers.
The two sides meet in the second leg at Braehead Arena on Sunday, 24th March.
