SCOTLAND, UK – Dundee Comets are through to the final of the Scottish Cup after storming back to defeat Kirkcaldy Kestrels over the weekend.
Kirkcaldy looked in control of the tie after securing a 6-4 win in Saturday’s first leg at Dundee, but the Comets bounced back in style in the reverse fixture the following day to secure a 5-2 success.
John Dolan’s hat-trick goal early in the third period was the decider as Dundee completed a 9-8 aggregate victory.
Aberdeen Lynx secured a healthy lead in the first leg of their semi-final tie at home to Paisley Pirates.
Jordan Leyden (3), Mark Laing, Christian Johnson and Mikulas Novotny were on target for Aberdeen as they ran out 6-2 winners.
The second leg is scheduled to take place at Braehead Arena on Saturday, 24th March.
