SCOTLAND, UK – The Stuart Robertson Cup (SRC) Final is the highlight of the upcoming weekend, with Dundee Comets aiming to wrestle the trophy off holders Murrayfield Racers.
The Comets finished top of the northern group during the opening phase, before beating North Ayrshire Wild 15-9 on aggregate in the semi-finals.
After claiming top spot in the southern section, the Racers booked their place in the final with a 14-1 aggregate victory over Aberdeen Lynx in their last four tie.
The two sides have faced each other twice in the NIHL North Cup this term, with the Racers winning 7-4 on home ice and 6-3 on the road.
Elsewhere this weekend, North Ayrshire and Dundee Tigers go head-to-head on Saturday aiming to secure a place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
The Tigers triumphed 6-2 in the first leg back in November, but Wild will believe they can turn the tie around on home ice.
The remaining fixture is also on Saturday as Aberdeen host Kilmarnock Thunder in the Scottish National League (SNL).
