Dylan Samberg signed a two-year, $2.8 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday. It has an average annual value of $1.4 million.
The 24-year-old defenseman was a restricted free agent.
Samberg had eight points (two goals, six assists) and was plus-10 in 63 games last season, his first full season in the NHL, averaging 14:56 of ice time per game. He did not have a point and was minus-3 in five Stanley Cup Playoff games for the Jets (46-33-3), who were the second wild card into the playoffs from the Western Conference. They lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in five games in the first round.

Selected by Winnipeg in the second round (No. 43) of the 2017 NHL Draft, Samberg has 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in 78 regular-season games, all with the Jets.
