Rumble Bees Drop Home Finale

BATTLE CREEK, MI— In their regular season home finale Sunday afternoon at The Rink Battle Creek, the Rumble Bees failed to hold a 2-0 first period advantage in falling to the Port Huron Prowlers, 6-4.

A Prowlers 6-goals unanswered comeback counterattack including 3-strikes stoked in the second stanza proved to be the difference as Port Huron captured its 6th consecutive victory in sweeping the seven-games’ season series from its Michigan rivals. Port Huron rained an astounding 96-shots on Battle Creek goaltender Joel Eisenhower including 34 in the opening period and 33-more in the third frame of the game while the Rumble Bees managed 26-shots on victorious netminder Chris Paulin who claimed his third win in as many starts this season against the “Cereal City” squad.

Former Prowlers Sage Cetrone and Jarrett Pfeiffer collected goals for the Rumble Bees as did Jake Mortley and Ryan Alves with the latter adding an assist for a 2-points’ performance.

The Rumble Bees complete their home schedule winless at 20(0-19-1) with four weeks and nine games remaining in the inaugural campaign with all nine games being on the road.
