Robinson adapting to life in Elite League

Genting Casino Coventry Blaze forward Brett Robinson is starting to adjust to life in the Elite League.

Robinson, who won the Kelly Cup under Blaze coach Chuck Weber with Cincinnati Cyclones in 2009/10, said: “Slowly it is coming and I am getting more confident.

“At the start of the year I was struggling a little bit, it is my first time in the Elite League and it is a different style than I have been used to for the last seven years.

“There are a lot of smart and experienced players in the league and it has been tough for me to adjust and it has also been different playing just two games a week.

“But as a group we are gaining more confidence and since the Belfast game, we might have lost 10-8 but it was a weight of our shoulders offensively.

“The guys are more relaxed and not gripping their sticks as much. We have a lot of offensive punch and proven goalscorers and the goals will come.”
