SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – In front of 6,649 fans, the Mississippi RiverKings (19-11-2) displayed another shutout performance, 1-0, against the Knoxville Ice Bears (18-8-3) behind 43 saves from goalie Brad Barone. The victory places the RiverKings back into third place in the SPHL standings. 
After two scoreless periods, the RiverKings found the back of the net in the final mintues of the game. Forward Dillan Fox fired a shot from the slot to give the RiverKings a 1-0 lead in the thirteenth mintue of the third period. Fox’s go ahead goal was assisted by defensemen Same Higgins and Joe Sova.
To maintain the 1-0 lead, the RiverKings, behind goaltender Brad Brarone, stopped all 15 shots from the Knoxville Ice Bears in the third period to earn back-to-back shutouts..
Brad Barone (11-7-2) saved all 43 shots from the Ice Bears to earn his second shutout in a row. Dylan Wells (3-2-1) took the loss for Knoxville after diverting 38 of 39 shots against.
The RiverKings were held scoreless on three power play opportunities, while Knoxville did not convert in two of their chances with the extra player.
