Columbus, GA – The Columbus River Dragons extended their win-streak to five games, claiming victory at home in regulation Friday night against the Biloxi Breakers, 7-3.

Tyler Roy got the nod to man the pipes for the River Dragons, versus Rahul Sharma in the net for the Breakers.
In the first twenty minutes, Biloxi put 13 SOG compared to a total of 10 SOG by Columbus, but the River Dragons produced a 2-1 lead.
At 4:25, Kyle Heitzner managed to poke an unattended rebound through the legs of Tyler Roy to give Biloxi an early 1-0 lead over Columbus.
Alex Storjohann answered for Columbus at 18:13 to even the score before Skate Skalde buried his first goal of the season at 19:08.
The first frame closed in favor of the River Dragons, 2-1.
116 seconds into the second period, Trey Fischer cancelled the River Dragons’ lead, followed up by Kyle Heitzner just 44 seconds later to put the Breakers ahead, 3-2.
In the second half of the middle frame, the River Dragons buried three goals within 79 seconds to unravel the Biloxi lead and add a two-point go-ahead for the River Dragons.
Josh Colten scored a PPG at 11:39, followed by Yaroslav Yevdokimov at 11:51 and Jestin Somero at 12:58.
With forty minutes of hockey played, the River Dragons led the Biloxi Breakers, 5-3.
The final frame showed a one-sided effort made by the River Dragons on a frustrated Biloxi squad.
Jestin Somero scored his second goal of the night at 7:57.
At 11:27, Lucas Piekarczyk was slapped with a 4-minute double-minor for High Sticking, leading to a PPG scored by Alexander Jmaeff at 12:41.
The contest closed with the River Dragons ahead in regulation, 7-3.
Tyler Roy faced 33 shots, achieving a 90.9 SV% on 30 blocked shots.
The River Dragons’ regulation victory resulted from several multi-point performances.
Kyle Moore assisted four times. Jestin Somero produced three points (2 goals, 1 assist), Yaroslav Yevdokimov produced three points (1 goal, 2 assists), and Broadie Thornton put up two assists.
Alexander Jmaeff clocked in two points (1 goal, 1 assist), and Josh Colten recorded a goal and an assist for two points as well.
The night’s Three Stars of the Game included Jestin Somero and Yaroslav Yevdokimov of Columbus and Kyle Heitzner, having produced two goals for the Biloxi Breakers.
The River Dragons aim to further extend their win-streak to six games on Saturday night against the Biloxi Breakers.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
