QUEBEC CITY, P.Q. — Leading twice by two goals in the game Rimouski saw Quebec coming from behind with tying goal scored with less than five minutes in third period. Trading scoring chances playing three against three hockey in overtime Tyler Boland gave Rimouski a 4-3 win with his 12th of the regular season at 4:26 of the overtime period. 
Dominating most of first period Quebec got the first power play opportunity in the game on Sunday afternoon as Antoine Dufort-Plante had been found guilty for elbowing. Fortunately for the home team, the Oceanic successfully killed Remparts first opportunity with man up.
Showing a 41.9 percent efficiency scoring 13-in-31 Rimouski struck first on their first power play opportunity. Back after being sidelined with injury, missing training camp and first month of action Dufort-Plante did not waste any time, before making Quebec paid to play in shorthanded situation. Left alone in slot The Oceanic right winger Dufort-Plante beat Quebec goaltender Evgeny Kiselev high on blocker side at 3:21.
The Oceanic came back adding a second goal this time at even strength. The shot by Rimouski defenseman Dominic Cormier from the blue line beat Quebec goalie high on blocker side at 10:13.
Trailing by two, Quebec enforcer Yanick Turcotte dropped his gloves against Nicholas Blackman, advantage Turcotte. Quebec got slight edge in shots on goal in first period 15-13 but Rimouski lead 2-0 on main scoreboard after first twenty minutes.
Trailing by two Quebec, continued to dominate the shots on goals 29-22 after forty minutes of play, 14-9 in second period but Rimouski goaltender Charles-Olivier Levesque closed the door being perfect blocking all shots he had to face. Another fights broke out this time between Oceanic defenseman Artem Maltsev and Alexandre Drapeau, advantage to Quebec defenseman who has been used at forward position by Quebec head coach Philippe Boucher.
Taking advantage of a penalty at the end of second period to Blackman, Quebec got on scoreboard with a goal scored by defenseman Christian Huntley. Huntley’s shot from right face-off deflected on Rimouski defenseman Charles-Edward D’astous before beating Oceanic netminder Levesque with only 1:16 gone in third period.
Rimouski came back regaining its two-goal lead. After Quebec goalie made first save on Simon Bourke, the puck came back on Dylan Montcalm stick making pass to teammate Dufort-Plante scoring his second of the game at 6:06.
Quebec replied cutting the Oceanic lead scoring on their 40th shot on goal. Making first save on Derek Gentile shot, rebound hit Matthew Boucher’s skates before going in. After referee review the goal had been allowed at 9:29.
Quebec tied the game at three all, as Captain Matthew Boucher made a perfect pass from behind the net to teammate Jesse Sutton who only had to push the puck behind Rimouski netminder at 15:12 of third period.
After trading scoring chances in the overtime period Rimouski got the last word winning 4-3 on goal by Boland. Stealing the puck to Quebec defenseman Ross McDougall, Boland went on breakaway beating Quebec goalie Kiselev with backhanded shot at 4:26 of the fourth period.
Quebec next game will be this Wednesday in Shawinigan visiting the Cataractes.
