The Silver Knights fell 3-2 in the shootout to the Ontario Reign on Tuesday night at Lee’s Family Forum.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Early into the contest, Mitch McLain buried a rebound in the crease to put Henderson up 1-0. Following 33 minutes of scoreless hockey, Ontario’s Taylor Ward tied the game for the Reign.
The tie only lasted 90 seconds as Ben Hemmerling would give the lead right back to the Henderson. With the goalie pulled,
Andre Lee tied the game, 2-2, with 20 seconds remaining in the game.
Following a scoreless overtime period, the Reign’s Cole Guttman was the only skater for either side to score in the shootout to claim the victory for Ontario.
