Red Wings upend Columbus, 4-1 Update to follow

In Detroit, a quiet, scoreless game erupted in a five-goal third period with the Red Wings tallying four of those goals in a 4-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday.

Thomas Greiss made 22 saves to lead the Red Wings to the victory.

After the Red Wings took a 2-0 lead in the third period, Columbus’ Boone Jenner scored off the power-play to cut the lead in half.

Lucas Raymond and Tyler Bertuzzi opened the scoring in the third for a 2-0 lead.

The goaltender pulled for an extra attacker, the Blue Jackets surrendered two empty-net goals, one each to Vladislav Namestnikov and Adam Erne for the 4-1 final.

Joonas Korpisalo made 41 saves in the loss.
