Red Hockey Ltd has bought a significant shareholding in the owners of English Premier League side Bracknell Bees.
The company, which also owns EPL champions Telford Tigers, purchased 49% of Precision Sports Marketing.
Wayne Scholes, CEO of Red Hockey Ltd, wants to help Bracknell – and PSM – become a major force in the game. 
He said: “When we formed Red Hockey, the whole ethos was to improve British ice hockey and give clubs a chance to be competitive.
“Junior development and stability are both massively important to the British game. That is the chief reason why we decided to invest in Bracknell Bees. We want to help the club build on its already successful development system and bring through more local youngsters.
“Just 15 years ago, the Bees were British champions and their fans deserve to see them have a chance of winning regularly again. There is a great infrastructure at the club and everything is in place for them to be successful, both on and off the ice.
“The guys in Bracknell have done an incredible job in keeping the sport alive at a senior level in the town.
“We will share marketing and backroom expertise with The Tigers, which can only be a major benefit for both clubs. That will include highly-skilled legal and business teams for both clubs, to ensure they remain at the forefront of the decision-making process.”
The major shareholding of Bracknell Bees will remain under the control of Precision Sports Marketing, led by Ben Beeching and Andrew Cross.
“This is a fantastic deal for everyone involved with Precision Sports Marketing and Bracknell Bees,” Mr Beeching said.
“It will secure the club’s future and hopefully, see the team climb up the English Premier League standings.
“Red Hockey has already built an excellent reputation with Telford Tigers, and I am looking forward to Bracknell enjoying similar success.
“This deal is a great opportunity for the Bees to develop its reputation on producing talented junior players.”​
