Macklin Celebrini collected three points while skating in his 100th NHL game and etched his name into a number of all-time lists during that milestone contest.
* Logan Thompson required the eighth-fewest games to 100 wins among undrafted goaltenders in NHL history.
* League leaders in Dallas’ Jake Oettinger (wins), Anaheim’s Beckett Sennecke (rookie scoring) and Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon (goals & points) helped their clubs’ find the win column Sunday.
* A five-game Monday will begin with Nikita Kucherov and the Lightning visiting Auston Matthews and the Maple Leafs for the first time this season.

CELEBRINI CELEBRATES 100TH CAREER CONTEST WITH THREE-POINT SHOWING
Macklin Celebrini (1-2—3) factored on three of his team’s four goals while skating in his 100th career game and wrote his name amongst several elite lists of teenagers as the Sharks defeated the Hurricanes. San Jose (14-13-3, 31 points) required its fewest games to reach the 30-point mark (30 GP) since 2021-22 (28 GP).
* Celebrini boosted his career totals to 40-66—106 and leapfrogged Ted Kennedy (104) for the seventh-most points by a teenager at the time of their 100th NHL game. Celebrini also surpassed Phil Housley (64) for the sixth-most assists by a teenager at the time of that milestone behind Wayne Gretzky (112), Sidney Crosby (83), Ron Francis (82), Dale Hawerchuk (72) and Steve Yzerman (67).

* Celebrini recorded his seventh three-point game of 2025-26 and tied Yzerman (1984-85) and Bryan Trottier (1975-76) for the most by a teenager through their 30th game of a season.
THOMPSON EARNS 100TH WIN WITH SHUTOUT PERFORMANCE
Logan Thompson made 39 saves in a shutout performance to earn his 100th career win and help the Capitals (18-9-3, 39 points) create a three-point cushion over the Hurricanes for first in the Eastern Conference. Thompson (100-44-19, 167 GP) required the third-fewest games to 100 victories among active goaltenders, behind Igor Shesterkin (159) and Matt Murray (166 GP).

* Alex Ovechkin earned his 841st regular-season win and passed Ryan Suter for the ninth most in NHL history.
A LOOK INTO LEAGUE LEADERS: OETTINGER, SENNECKE, MACKINNON
Jake Oettinger, who leads the League in wins, Beckett Sennecke, the rookie scoring leader, and Nathan MacKinnon, who tops the NHL in points, all helped their club earn a victory Sunday:
* Oettinger made 27 saves and all three in the shootout to earn his 14th win of the season and surpass Scott Wedgewood for the most among all goaltenders. The Lakeville, Min., native, who is hoping to represent his country at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 after attending the Americans’ orientation camp in August, matched the most wins by a Stars/North Stars goaltender through 20 games in a campaign, a list he already added himself to last season (also Jon Casey in 1989-90 & Gilles Meloche in 1979-80). There has been only one instance of a Stars/North Stars goaltender leading the league in wins at the end of a season: Casey in 1989-90 (31).
* Sennecke (1-1—2) was one of five Ducks players who posted a multi-point performance as Anaheim scored seven goals in a game for the fifth time this season, two more than the next closest teams (COL, FLA, WSH all w/ 3). Sennecke (9-15—24 in 29 GP) currently has the fourth-most points by a Ducks rookie through their 30th game of a campaign, behind Bobby Ryan (29 in 2008-09), Paul Kariya (26 in 1994-95) and Trevor Zegras (25 in 2021-22). He still has one game to climb that list. Sennecke leaves Sunday two points ahead of Montreal’s Ivan Demidov (6-16—22 in 28 GP) for the rookie scoring lead – only one Ducks rookie has led the League in scoring at season’s end: Bobby Ryan (31-26—57 in 2008-09).
* MacKinnon (24-25—49 in 29 GP) recorded his 25th assist of 2025-26 – tied for the fifth most in the NHL – and reached the mark prior to his 30th game in a season for the eighth time in his career. MacKinnon became the fifth player in Avalanche/Nordiques history to register 49 or more points prior to their 30th contest, joining Marian Stastny (56 in 1982-83), Peter Forsberg (53 in 1995-96), Peter Stastny (53 in 1987-88 & 1982-83) and Michel Goulet (49 in 1987-88). Meanwhile, his teammate Brent Burns (1-0—1) wrote his name among legends as he surpassed Nicklas Lidstrom (264) for the eighth-most goals by a defenseman in NHL history.

ATLANTIC DIVISION CLASH SET FOR PRIME MONDAY NIGHT HOCKEY
An #NHLStats primer before tonight’s Lightning–Maple Leafs game on Prime Monday Night Hockey:
* Nikita Kucherov climbed into third place on Tampa Bay’s all-time goals list earlier this season – and is within striking distance of second place – while Auston Matthews sits nine tallies away from setting a new Toronto benchmark heading into the first meeting between these clubs in 2025-26.
* Kucherov (32-69—101) owns the second-most points in the League since Jan. 1, marking his fourth straight calendar year with 100-plus regular-season points – joining Connor McDavid (2021 to 2024) and Leon Draisaitl (2021 to 2024) as the only active players to achieve that feat.
* Through games played Nov. 1, the Lightning sat in last place in the Atlantic Division, six points back of the first-place Canadiens. An 11-6-0 record since then has helped them climb into first place, with Toronto looking for a similar rise in the standings as they take a 3-1-1 record in their past five games into this contest.

NATIONAL GAMES ON THE RADAR THIS WEEK
Five #NHLStats and storylines you need to know about other national broadcasts this week:
1. NHL on TNT Doubleheader, Part 1 (Tuesday): NHL leading scorer Nathan MacKinnon guides the League’s top team into Nashville where the Avalanche will play their 30th game of the season. Colorado (21-2-6, 48 points) can become the second team in NHL history to post two or fewer regulation losses within their first 30 contests. Before that, Matthew Schaefer and the Islanders will host Jack Eichel and the Golden Knights, with Schaefer fast approaching the top 10 in terms of points in a season by an 18-year-old defenseman (he ranks 11th; already the second-highest scoring 18-year-old player – of any position – in Islanders history, behind forward Tim Connolly who had 34 points at that age).
2. NHL on TNT Doubleheader, Part 2 (Wednesday): Two players that have won the Calder Trophy for Chicago will help open the doubleheader when Connor Bedard (2024) and the Blackhawks host Artemi Panarin (2016) and the Rangers for an Original Six clash. Panarin had 61-90—151 in 162 games with Chicago over the first two seasons of his NHL career, taking the edge over Bedard for goals and points through that game count (Bedard had 51-92—143 through 162 GP). The night closes with Anze Kopitar and the Kings visiting the Kraken as the captain continues his pursuit of 1,300 points and the franchise scoring record (16 points from passing Marcel Dionne) and what will be his penultimate regular-season visit to Seattle before retirement.
3. Reigning Champions vs. NHL’s Top Team During ESPN Doubleheader (Thursday): The first matchup of the season between future Team Canada teammates Nathan MacKinnon (COL), Cale Makar (COL) and Sam Reinhart (FLA) will be a tale of clubs off to different starts. The Avalanche have held first place in the League standings since Nov. 1, while the two-time reigning Stanley Cup champion Panthers have sat outside the playoff bracket that entire time (last inside Oct. 29). The night begins in Philadelphia in a contest featuring the two highest scoring players on new teams this season: Trevor Zegras (PHI) and Mitch Marner (VGK).
4. Blackhawks at Blues on ESPN+ and Hulu (Friday): An exclusive telecast in the U.S. that will also be available nationally in Canada (Sportsnet & TVA Sports) will be a key Central Division clash as the Blackhawks (12-11-6, 30 points) and Blues (11-12-7, 29 points) are separated by just one point. Last season, St. Louis made the playoffs as Wild Card 2 by virtue of regulation wins tiebreaker.
5. Oilers at Maple Leafs highlights Hockey Night in Canada (Saturday): A star-studded matchup will feature four players guaranteed to represent their country in February: captains Connor McDavid (EDM; Team Canada) and Auston Matthews (TOR; Team USA), as well as Leon Draisaitl (EDM; Team Germany) and William Nylander (TOR; Team Sweden). This will be the 20th head-to-head meeting in the NHL between McDavid (8-21—29; 6-11-2 record) and Matthews (13-9—22; 13-4-2 record), part of a Hockey Night in Canada slate that includes an Original Six matchup (MTL at NYR), a clash between two No. 1 seeds from 2024-25 (WSH at WPG) and a Pacific Division clash in Hollywood (CGY at LAK).
