Recap of NHL from 30 Movember 2025

Connor Bedard had a game-high four points to help the Blackhawks become the fifth team with a three-goal comeback win this season.

* Cutter Gauthier and Olen Zellweger put the Ducks up 2-0 in the first 47 seconds as Anaheim set a franchise record for fastest two goals from the start of a game. The 34 opening-minute goals this season mark the second most at this stage over the last 30 years behind 2018-19 (39 through 405 GP).

* Mark Scheifele and the Jets are set to visit Tage Thompson and the Sabres during the latest edition of Prime Monday Night Hockey, one of several national telecasts slated for the first week of December.

Bedard forges four points as Blackhawks complete rare comeback win
Connor Bedard (2-2—4) factored on four of his team’s five unanswered goals as Chicago rallied from a 3-0 deficit to defeat Anaheim. The Blackhawks became the fifth team in League history to earn a win after surrendering two goals in the opening minute of a game, following the Coyotes (Nov. 6, 2021), Bruins (Feb. 27, 1988), Devils (Dec. 19, 1986) and Oilers (Dec. 5, 1984).

* Bedard (16-21—37 in 25 GP) recorded his fifth career four-point game and moved into a tie with fellow No. 1 pick and North Vancouver native Macklin Celebrini (14-23—37 in 26 GP) for the NHL’s second-highest point total this season. Only seven players in League history have more four-point games at age 20 or younger than Bedard.

NATIONAL GAMES ON THE RADAR THIS WEEK

Five #NHLStats and storylines you need to know about other national broadcasts this week:

1. First ESPN+ and Hulu Exclusive Doubleheader (Tuesday): Atlantic Division rivals will meet for the first time since Game 7 of the 2025 Second Round when 37-year-old and longtime Maple Leafs nemesis Brad Marchand (15-12—27 in 23 GP) helps the Panthers welcome 35-year-old John Tavares (12-16—28 in 25 GP). Marchand is on pace for his first career 50-goal season, while Tavares is tracking toward his first 90-point campaign. The doubleheader closes when two of the League’s top 10 scorers meet in Vegas: 20-year-old Connor Bedard (CHI; 16-21—37 to rank t-2nd) and 29-year-old Jack Eichel (VGK; 11-21—32 to rank t-9th).

The Mammoth, also on a season-high six-game road trip, have yet to suffer a regulation defeat against the Ducks but seek their first victory in Anaheim (1-0-3 overall, 0-0-2 at ANA).

3. Jets at Canadiens on Sportsnet (Wednesday): An all-Canadian showdown will pit the League’s youngest team (MTL) against the oldest (WPG) and include two of the League’s highest scoring defensemen in Josh Morrissey (WPG; 5-18—23 to rank t-4th) and Lane Hutson (MTL; 4-16—20 to rank t-10th). Montreal’s youth have helped it claim an NHL-best five overtime wins this season (tied w/ EDM and SJS), while Winnipeg is a perfect 2-0 in its League-low two contests that have required extra time (tied w/ FLA).

4. Second ESPN+ and Hulu Exclusive Doubleheader (Thursday): Bedard will once again take the spotlight when the Blackhawks visit Anze Kopitar and the Kings to close out a doubleheader that opens with Detroit paying its first visit to Columbus since the 2025 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series.
