Connor McDavid became the fourth-fastest and third-youngest player in League history to reach 1,100 career points.
* William Nylander and Auston Matthews led the Maple Leafs to a three-goal, third-period comeback win in regulation for just the fourth time in franchise history and first in nearly 50 years.
* The Stars will play in the 2027 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, on Saturday, February 20.
* A 10-game Tuesday features a doubleheader on TNT that will begin with the Rangers facing the Hurricanes before the Avalanche welcome the Lightning and will include a rematch of the 2025 Western Conference Final on ESPN+.

MCDAVID REACHES 1,100-POINT MILESTONE
Connor McDavid recorded his 1,100th and 1,101st career points Monday and became the fourth-fastest player in NHL history to hit the milestone (726 GP) behind Wayne Gretzky (464 GP), Mario Lemieux (550 GP) and Mike Bossy (725 GP). In fact, he reached the milestone 124 games faster than any active player, besting Sidney Crosby (850 GP).
* McDavid (28 years, 294 days) became the third-youngest player at the time of his 1,100th point, behind Gretzky (24 years, 50 days on March 17, 1985) and Lemieux (27 years, 73 days on Dec. 17, 1992).

MAPLE LEAFS MOUNT THREE-GOAL, THIRD-PERIOD COMEBACK WIN
After Penguins rookie Ben Kindel (2-0—2) helped stake his team to a 3-0 lead through 40 minutes, William Nylander (2-1—3) and Auston Matthews (1-1—2) led a Maple Leafs comeback in the final frame that featured three goals in 3:24 and a winning tally from Bobby McMann (1-0—1). Toronto recorded its first three-goal, third-period comeback win since Dec. 6, 2010 (5-4 SO W at WSH).

* Morgan Rielly (0-2—2), who factored on the winning goal, recorded his 521st and 522nd career points to pass Tomas Kaberle (520) for sole possession of the second most by a Maple Leafs defenseman behind Borje Salming (768). Rielly also earned his 45th career multi-goal comeback win – only Kaberle (49) and Salming (47) have as many with Toronto.
CANUCKS STAVE OFF MULTI-GOAL COMEBACK, BLUES COMPLETE THEIR OWN
The Canucks staved off the Predators’ multi-goal rally with an overtime winner, while the Blues stymied Connor McDavid’s milestone night with the NHL’s 24th multi-goal comeback win of 2025-26.
* After the Predators erased a 4-2 deficit to force extra time, Brock Boeser scored the winner with two seconds remaining. Boeser tallied the second-latest overtime goal in Canucks history, behind Sami Salo (4:59 on Oct. 20, 2006).
* Dalibor Dvorsky, the Blues first-round pick in 2023 (10th overall), scored his first career NHL goal as the first of three straight by St. Louis as the club earned its first multi-goal comeback win of the season. The victory was secured by Pius Suter, who netted the winner with 1:23 left in regulation to mark the Blues’ latest go-ahead goal since Jan. 23, 2024 (59:12).

U.S. NATIONAL BROADCASTS TAKE CENTER STAGE TUESDAY
Tuesday’s 10-game slate features a doubleheader on NHL on TNT that will include two of the League’s top defensemen in Cale Makar and Victor Hedman before the Rangers welcome the Hurricanes. Meanwhile, Connor McDavid and the Oilers will face off against the Stars for the first time since defeating them in five games during the 2025 Western Conference Final.

* Hedman, the NHL’s hardest shot leader of 2025-26, will aim to extend Tampa Bay’s winning streak – the League’s longest active run – to six games, while Makar looks to push his point streak to eight contests for the sixth time in his career. The Avalanche blueliner can join Erik Karlsson (7x) as just the second active defenseman with as many eight-game point streaks.

* McDavid, who is coming off hitting the 1,100-point milestone, will face a Dallas team he recorded nine points against in the 2025 Conference Finals, which included the series-clinching goal in Game 5. The Oilers captain has posted a point against the Stars in 11 straight games (regular season & playoffs) dating to Game 3 of the 2024 Conference Finals.

STAAL COMMUNITY EFFORTS HIGHLIGHTED AHEAD OF HURRICANES ON TNT
Jordan Staal is an NHL veteran who continues to use his platform to make a difference in the community – his impact highlighted during the month of November, which is a League-wide celebration month for Hockey Fights Cancer. Jordan and his brothers founded the Staal Family Foundation in 2012 and have raised over $5 million to support children who are fighting cancer and their families. The inspiration came from the sister of Eric‘s wife Tanya, Tamara Stephenson, who died in in 2010 following a lengthy battle with a rare form of liver cancer.
* At each Hurricanes game, Jordan welcomes families with children undergoing cancer treatment at UNC Children’s Hospital into his suite, giving them a break from the grueling and emotional process of treatment and setting them up with a signed jersey. This commitment totals nearly $200,000 each year.
