Morgan Geekie and Nathan MacKinnon became the NHL’s first two 20-goal scorers this season. Geekie is co-leading the League in goals after finishing 26th in 2024-25, while MacKinnon set a team record for fewest games to 20.
* Macklin Celebrini hit the 100-point milestone and tied Eddie Olczyk as the eighth-youngest player in NHL history to reach the mark. The only active player above him: Sidney Crosby.
* Sunday’s four-game slate will include a matchup between the top two picks from the 2023 NHL Draft when Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks host Leo Carlsson and the Ducks. Both 20-year-olds boast identical point totals and are leading their clubs in scoring.

GEEKIE, MACKINNON BECOME FIRST PLAYERS TO 20 GOALS
Morgan Geekie found the back of the net twice to reach 20 goals just hours after Nathan MacKinnon hit the mark. The NHL has two 20-goal scorers at this stage of a season (401 GP) for the fourth time in the past 12 years (also 3 in 2022-23, 2 in 2021-22 & 2018-19).
* Geekie (2-0—2) scored both of his club’s tallies to help Boston (15-12-0, 30 points) become the second Atlantic Division team to reach 30 points. Geekie (20-6—26 in 27 GP) became the third-fastest Bruins player in the past 45 years to score 20 goals in a season, following Cam Neely (19 GP in 1993-94 & 27 GP in 1989-90) and David Pastrnak (22 GP in 2019-20).
* Geekie is tied for the NHL scoring lead a season after finishing 26th overall with his first 30-goal season (33 in 2024-25). He is operating at a 0.74 goal-per-game pace in 2025-26 after entering the campaign with a career rate of 0.22.

* MacKinnon (1-2—3) helped Colorado rattle off seven goals and extend its point streak to 16 games (13-0-3), matching the second-longest run in franchise history (also 2000-01) – the record was set in 2021-22 (19 GP). The Avalanche (18-1-6, 42 points), who have only suffered one regulation loss in 2025-26, have now netted 100 team goals through their first 25 games of a season for the third time in team history, following 2021-22 (24 GP) and 1995-96 (25 GP) – they went on to win the Stanley Cup in each of those campaigns.
* MacKinnon (20-24—44 in 25 GP) required the fewest games in Avalanche team history (since 1995-96) to reach the 20-goal mark, besting the previous pace set by Mikko Rantanen in 2022-23 (28 GP). MacKinnon has reached the plateau for the ninth consecutive season and 11th time in 13 career campaigns.

CELEBRINI REACHES 100 POINTS, JOINS SHORT NHL LIST
Macklin Celebrini (0-1—1) helped his team come within one of erasing a three-goal lead by the Golden Knights as he recorded his 100th career point and tied Eddie Olczyk as the eighth-youngest player in NHL history to reach the milestone. The 19-year-old boosted his season totals to 14-23—37 (26 GP) and currently sits second in the NHL in scoring behind Nathan MacKinnon (20-24—44 in 25 GP) and one ahead of Connor McDavid (11-25—36 in 26 GP).

* Celebrini became the second-fastest player in Sharks history to 100 points (96 GP), behind Joe Thornton (65 GP) and the fastest to do so among players to debut with San Jose (previously Sandis Ozolinsh in 144 GP).
KUCHEROV, HAGEL HELP LIGHTNING EXTEND STREAKS
Nikita Kucherov (0-3—3) extended his point streak to nine games with his fifth consecutive multi-point effort while Brandon Hagel (2-0—2) scored in five straight contests for the first time in his career to help the Lightning push their overall win streak to seven games and their road win streak to five.
* The Lightning, who now have a four-point cushion on first place in the Atlantic Division, improved to 8-2-2 on the road this season, winning eight of their first 12 games as visitors for the fourth time in franchise history (also 2021-22, 2018-19 & 2017-18). It marks Tampa Bay’s longest road winning streak since a six-game run in 2019-20, two back of the franchise record (7 GP in 2006-07).
* Hagel has scored 12 goals in November, tied with Stars forward Jason Robertson for the most by any player in the League since Nov. 1. Kucherov recorded his 50th career three-assist game and became the ninth-fastest player in NHL history to hit the benchmark. Sidney Crosby (67) and Connor McDavid (56) are the only other active players with 50 outings of three-plus assists.

BEDARD MEETS CARLSSON IN SHOWDOWN OF TOP 2023 DRAFT PICKS
Sunday’s four-game slate includes an intriguing matchup between the top two picks from the 2023 NHL Draft, both with identical point totals this season, when Connor Bedard (14-19—33 in 24 GP) and the Blackhawks host Leo Carlsson (13-20—33 in 24 GP) and the Ducks.
* Bedard and Carlsson, both age 20, lead their respective team in points this season and have been key drivers to the year-over-year improvements of their club.
