Logan Cooley had a night to remember: he recorded his first five-point outing, posted the first four-goal game in Mammoth history and achieved a rare feat with his second natural hat trick of the season.
* The Panthers potted eight goals in a game for the second time in 2025-26 – tied with the Avalanche and Sabres for the most among all teams this season.
* Jason Robertson and the Stars battle Evan Bouchard and the Oilers on Sportsnet and TVA Sports during Tuesday’s lone contest.

COOLEY CAPTURES FIRST FOUR-GOAL GAME IN MAMMOTH HISTORY
Logan Cooley (4-1—5) etched his name in the Mammoth record books with his first career five-point game. After scoring in the first period, Cooley tallied three straight times in the third frame to record the franchise’s first four-goal performance and became the League’s first player this season to score four times in a contest.

* In addition to scoring the franchise’s first four-goal game, Cooley also became the first Mammoth player to net multiple hat tricks and the second to register a five-point game, joining Clayton Keller (1-4—5 on Feb. 27, 2025).
* Monday marked Cooley’s second hat trick of the season, both of which have come in natural fashion. He became the fourth player in NHL history to record multiple natural hat tricks in a single campaign at age 21 or younger, following Wayne Gretzky (4x in 1980-81), Patrik Laine (2x in 2018-19) and Filip Forsberg (2x in 2015-16).

PANTHERS SCORE EIGHT, CAPITALS SCORE FIVE WITH QUICK GOALS A COMMON THEME
The reigning Stanley Cup-champion Panthers (12-9-1, 25 points) and Capitals (12-9-2, 26 points) both skated to victory on Monday with the help of quick goals:
* Florida erupted for eight goals and it all started when A.J. Greer (2-1—3) found the back of the net 11 seconds after puck drop to mark the fastest goal to begin a game this season. The Panthers (2) matched the Avalanche and Sabres for the most games with eight-plus goals in 2025-26 and posted multiple such contests in a campaign for the fourth time in franchise history, following 2021-22 (3x), 2023-24 (2x) and 2006-07 (2x).
* The Panthers received contributions throughout its lineup; six players recorded multiple points – their most in a single game since April 4, 2024 (6). One of those skaters was Sam Reinhart (1-2—3), who extended his point streak to at least seven games for the fifth time with the Panthers. The only Florida players with as many runs of that length are Aleksander Barkov (11x), Jonathan Huberdeau (7x), Matthew Tkachuk (5x), Olli Jokinen (5x) and Pavel Bure (5x).
* Jakob Chychrun (2-0—2) and John Carlson (1-1—2) both found the back of the net Monday, including scoring 12 seconds apart in the second period to set a franchise mark for the fastest two goals in a game by defensemen, as the Capitals defeated the Blue Jackets at Capital One Arena.
* Four of Washington’s five goals Monday were scored by defensemen – it’s blueline has only potted more in a game twice (6 on Dec. 4, 1992 & 5 on Jan. 20, 2019). Overall, the Capitals have recorded 19 goals by defensemen this season, which leads all teams.

* Nikita Kucherov (0-3—3) factored on all three Lightning goals, while Andrei Vasilevskiy made 20 saves for his 41st career shutout as Tampa Bay picked up its fourth straight win and moved into first in the Atlantic Division. Vasilevskiy tied Semyon Varlamov for the 11th-most shutouts in NHL history among goaltenders born and trained outside North America.

* Timo Meier (1-1—2) and Nico Hischier (1-1—2) both put up a multi-point performance to help the Devils defeat the Red Wings (13-9-1, 27 points) and move into second place in the Metropolitan Division standings. New Jersey extended its season-opening home point streak to nine contests (8-0-1) – tied for the second longest in franchise history (also 8-0-1 in 1987-88) behind a 10-game stretch to start 2016-17 (8-0-2).

OILERS AND STARS READY TO RENEW RIVALRY
The Stars (13-5-4, 30 points) and Oilers (10-9-5, 25 points) take center stage Tuesday after meeting in the Western Conference Final in each of the past two postseasons, but their second showdown in 2025-26 features Jason Robertson’s recent stretch of goal-scoring success and Evan Bouchard’s productive November.

* The Oilers, whose 23 all-time playoffs wins against the Stars are the franchise’s second most against a single opponent (tied), own back-to-back series victories against the club after Dallas strung together five straight versus Edmonton from 1998 to 2003. Robertson and the Stars have held the upper hand in recent regular-season matchups against Bouchard and the Oilers since 2023-24 (DAL: 5-1-1; EDM: 2-4-1).
* Bouchard has 2-11—13 (12 GP) in November and can record 15 points in a calendar month for the second time in his career (also 1-18—19 in March 2024). Paul Coffey is the only Oilers defenseman with multiple 15-point months in his career (24x; last: Oct. 1987). Bouchard, already with two three-assist performances this month including his most recent contest, can also join Coffey (2 GP from March 12-14, 1986) as the second Oilers blueliner to post back-to-back three-assist outings.
* Robertson enters Tuesday on a six-game goal streak and can tie the second longest run in Stars/North Stars history. He can also take sole possession of the longest goal streak in Stars team history; Brian Bellows holds the franchise record (10 GP in 1989-90).
* Robertson can become the 13th different American player in NHL history to post a seven-game goal streak and third in as many seasons (Jake Guentzel: 7 GP in 2024-25 & Auston Matthews: 8 GP in 2023-24). Only three have surpassed seven games: Pat LaFontaine (11 GP in 1989-90), Brett Hull (10 GP in 1991-92 & 1990-91) and Matthews.
