It’s time to kick off Week 14 in this season’s Elite Ice Hockey League, and we start with a pair of Friday night games.

Belfast Giants return to home ice after a few weeks away as they welcome Guildford Flames for part one of a double-header. The teams meet again tomorrow, having already faced each other twice in Guildford this season. Both sides have a win each at the Spectrum, with the Flames scoring two goals in both of those games. The Giants enter the night in fourth place, two positions and one point above the Flames. If Belfast were to win their four games in hand, they would be level for third.
Belfast’s home record against Guildford is excellent. In 21 league meetings at the SSE Arena, the Giants have taken 18 wins, with the Flames claiming only three victories.
From 19:30, Cardiff Devils are back in Scotland as they take on Glasgow Clan before moving on to Dundee on Saturday. The Devils were beaten in both Glasgow and Dundee at the start of their Scottish triple-header last month, and also fell in Fife just under two weeks ago. Glasgow begin the weekend ten points and four places behind the Devils in the early standings.
Clan’s win over Cardiff earlier this season brought them up to 11 all-time home league victories over the Devils, who have won 25 games in Braehead.
