Aggravating.
That’s the best word for watching a New York Rangers games.
On Saturday night, the Rangers lost to the Canucks in Vancouver, 2-1, on a late ghoal from Tyler Myers.
It’s the third straight loss for the Rangers as they ended their road trip with a 1-3-0 record.
“I certainly love a lot about our game tonight,” Rangers head coach David Quinn said. “We did almost everything right except score and it’s really disappointing. It really was a kick in the gut to have that one shot go in and to play as well as we did in the third and give that up late, but hey, we’ve got to fight through some adversity and we can draw from this game to understand what we have to do to have success.”
After a while you need to ask what game or team are these people watching.
“You just have to get it there and see what happens,” Myers said. “When we have a good net-front like that it makes it tough for the goalie. You could tell the goalie had trouble seeing it. It was a big two points for us. It keeps this momentum going.”
Jacob Markstrom made 36 saves to get the win.
Pavel Buchnevich scored the Rangers only goal as the secondary scoring kicked in on the western Canada trip and then the primary scoring faded into smoke.
“We played a solid road game and it was just unfortunate that they get that one late because it felt like we were really tilting the ice in the third,” the Rangers’ Chris Kreider said.
Solid game talk is like moral victories, they don’t exist.
Antoine Roussel gave the Canucks an early 1-0 lead.

Alexander Georgiev got the start for the Rangers because Henrik Lundqvist was ill.
Lucky him.
“Right now, it really hurts,” Quinn said. “When we step back and let the emotions settle in, I think our guys will be happy with the way we played. I mean, we feel good as a staff about the way we looked as a team tonight and the challenge is to do it consistently. But right now, this is a tough time to talk about it because it hurts right now.”
