Rangers collapse now complete in another shutout loss Rangers lose Game 7, 4-0, with embarrassing effort

In the end, the New York Rangers could not change a season of patterns. IN the end, it was another loss, supported by  another lackluster effort in an important game.  On Monday night, Akira Schmid made 31 saves in a 4-0 shutout for the New Jersey Devils to win Game 7.

The Rangers were shut out in Game 5 by the same 4-0 count.

So much for the rebuild.

After a scoreless first period, Michael McLeod hit for a shorthanded goal midway through the second to give New Jersey a 1-0 lead.

Tomas Tatar hit for a goal 15:39 to extend the lead to 2-0.

The lackadaisical effort from the Rangers made those two goals more than enough to for New Jersey to get the win.

For good measure, Erik Haula scored in the 15th minute of the third for a 3-0 lead.

Jesper Bratt hit an empty net late for the 4-0 final.

Igor Shesterkin made 21 saves in the loss.

If this doesn’t cost people jobs, then there is no hope for this Rangers organization.
