The summer is over and hockey is back. If you’re TIVOing preseason games you’re as sick as me and I love you. Here are some things I thought about this summer besides Kathryn Tappen.
Phil Kessel will fit right in Pittsburgh where they put French fries on their sandwiches because he puts French fries on everything.
Milan Lucic is going to cause more high speed collisions in Los Angeles than a drizzle on the 405 ( Santa Monica Freeway)
Everyone assumed Jaromir Jagr found the Fountain of Youth in Florida but it was really in an eighteen year old Czech supermodel.
Not only have the Flyers lost their edge, so have their fans. The Pope came to Philly and no one booed.
Jarrett Stoll is a perfect fit in NY because it’s the city that never sleeps.
Ryan O’ReIlly tried giving back to the community in Buffalo by opening up a Tim Horton’s Express Drive Thru
If Donald Trump wins the election the first Mexican he must deport is Raffi Torres.
Raffi Torres was wearing an “A” for the Sharks. I don’t think the Sharks know the “A” is supposed to stand for Assistant Captain.
John Tortorella was named the Head Coach of the US World Cup Team because the rest of the world doesn’t hate us enough.
The golf courses in San Jose must be amazing because Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau never want to leave them.
With John Scott and Steve Downie the Arizona Coyotes will have more on ice felonies than wins. In Arizona it’s not the heat it’s the stupidity.
On to the Regular Season.

Publisher’s Note: Pro Hockey News connected with Joe over the summer and after some discussions and negotiations that really went nowhere, we all decided this was a good thing, to have Joe on our pages. We were consuming some Kentucky’s finest bourbon at the time so we hope this goes well. But then the negotiations did fail………..
Joe Bartnick was born in Pittsburgh where he learned his love of eating, drinking and sports. He started doing stand up comedy in San Francisco in the late 90’s. Joe progressed from playing coffee shops , bars and Laundromats to being a regular a the World Famous Punchine. From there Joe has performed all over North America in such prestigious places as the Warfield, the Wiltern, Heinz Hall and the Chicago Theater. Joe did a closing set on AXS Tv’s Live from Gotham.
