Rampage skate past Hamilton San Antonio Now Tied for West Division Lead

SAN ANTONIO  – The San Antonio Rampage (38-20-5-1) earned their fourth straight win Saturday night, topping the Hamilton Bulldogs (30-25-9-0) in front of 8,441 on Kids’ Night, presented by Kellogg’s, at the AT&T Center. With Oklahoma City’s overtime loss to the Chicago Wolves, the Rampage are now tied with the Barons for the top spot in the West Division.

The Rampage finished 1-for-3 on the power play while holding the Bulldogs to just one goal on six opportunities with the man advantage.

san-antonio-rampage-logoConnor Brickley opened the night’s scoring, putting a rebound through the legs of Mike Condon just over four minutes into the game. Hamilton answered midway through the period with a Nick Sorkin backhand tally to knot the game at one.

With one minute remaining in the opening frame, Andrew Yogan finished a 3-on-2 break for the Rampage, scoring his third goal in as many games and giving San Antonio a 2-1 lead heading into the first intermission.

Bobby Butler extended San Antonio’s lead to two goals on the power play at 5:27 of the second stanza, taking a stretch pass from Rocco Grimaldi at the blue line and jumping ahead of the defense before wristing a shot over the right shoulder of Condon.

Garrett Wilson gave the Silver and Black a 4-1 lead with his 21st goal of the season, and Gabriel Dumont scored Hamilton’s lone power-play tally of the night to account for the final 4-2 score.
