Rampage edge Stars, 2-1

SAN ANTONIO  – A late power-play goal from Cody Corbett lifted the San Antonio Rampage (13-15-2-0) 2-1 over the Texas Stars (15-11-1-1) Tuesday night at the AT&T Center.

Rampage goaltender Spencer Martin stop 33-of-34 shots, en route to Third Star of the Game honors. Defenseman Chris Bigras collected two assists to earn the Second Star of the Game as Corbett’s game winner earned the third-year pro the First Star of the Game.

Rampage forward Jim O’Brien scored the first period’s lone goal at the 2:57 mark from Bigras and Anton Lindholm. San Antonio took its 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

After a scoreless second period, the Stars evened the game at one when Brandon DeFazio landed a power-play goal at 8:05. But the Rampage stormed right back as Corbett’s shot from the high slot beat Texas’ Landon Bow at 10:45 for the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal.
