Quebec wins in OT Dutra gives Quebec the win with OT marker

QUEBEC CITY, P.Q. —Trailing by three, 3-0, and completely dominated in the opening period Quebec scored three goals in the third period to finally sign a 4-3 win in overtime on defenseman Aaron Dutra third goal of the season after hard work from veteran center Alexandre Sills behind Sherbrooke net. Dutra one-timer left no chance to Phoenix netminder who has been beaten over his left shoulder.

Beaten three times on fifteen shots in first period Quebec head coach Philippe Boucher pulled his starting goaltender Callum Booth sending Evgeny Kiselev in to begin the second period. Playing better in the middle frame, Quebec scored their first goal with less than two minutes gone in third periods scoring two more goals to bring both teams to square one forcing the overtime.

Losing 11 of their last 12 games, their last five games Quebec completed the come from behind win with Dutra goal his third of the year to end losing skip to five games with 4-3 wins.

Showing best power play unit overall in QMJHL with 26.3 percent efficiency with a man up Sherbrooke opened the scoring on first power play opportunity with Quebec defenseman Austin McEneney found guilty of hooking 1:20 into the opening period.

Sherbrooke left winger Nicolas Poulin redirect a shot from defenseman Julien Bahl beating Quebec goaltender Callum Booth on his left side at 2:53.

Leading 3-0 after first twenty minutes, Sherbrooke goaltender Charles Poirier-Turcot only faced 5 shots making his save against Quebec center Auguste Impose on breakaway. Sherbrooke scored three times on fifteen shots.

Quebec right winger Auguste Impose completed the come from behind tying the scores 3-3 with his 13 of the regular season redirecting a shot from defenseman Ross McDougal at 17:27.

Defenseman Aaron Dutra gave Quebec the victory as his one-timer from the slot beat Phoenix netminder Poirier-Turcot over left shoulder ending Quebec losing streak at five with 4-3 wins in overtime.

Quebec will play his next game at home on Tuesday hosting the Shawinigan Cataractes.
