QUEBEC CITY, P.Q. —Leading by three goals with almost two third of the game played Quebec undisciplined opened the door to Charlottetown scoring three goals on power plays tying the score 5-5 forcing Quebec to play for a second times in as many nights an overtime period. Already scoring a goal in second periods (Quebec third goals), Benjamin Gagne led Quebec to their sixth win in as many games staying undefeated as he scored his second in the game with only 12.8 seconds remaining giving Quebec a 6-5 overtime win. 
Dominated 13-4 in shots on goal Quebec came out of the first period with tied score 1-1. Charlottetown opened the scoring taking advantage of their first power play opportunity following a penalty to Quebec captain Matthew Boucher guilty of holding.
Adam Marsh wrist shot surprised Quebec goaltender Dereck Baribeau high on his right side 8:31 into initial period.
Quebec replied 1:04 later as Dereck Gentile took a rebound shot from teammate Austin Eastman beating Charlottetown goaltender Matthew Welsh on his right side. Besides Gentile, Olivier Garneau got the other great opportunity offensively but Islander netminder made the save.
If first period saw only one goal scored from each side with Quebec scoring their unique goal on their third shots on a total of four, the visitor came back in second scoring four goals on seven shots.
Charlottetown replied scoring three goals on thirteen shots. Quebec took the lead for first time in the game as Jeremy Laframboise scored his first of the season 2:10 into the middle frame. Laframboise one-timer left no chance to Islander netminer being beaten over his left shoulder.
Playing on four-on-three power play the visitor scored their third goals in the game their first with the help of the power play been 1-in-3 after forty minutes of play. Remparts defenseman Benjamin Gagne shot beat Welsh on left side at 4:52.
Being the object of an article in main Quebec newspaper where head coach hope to see his veteran center giving more on the ice, the message seem to be well heard be the center. After scoring his first goal in the regular season the night before in Halifax, and getting a pass on Quebec second goals earlier in the period scored by Laframboise, Jesse Sutton redirect his teammate defenseman Shawn Dunn shot from the blue line for Quebec fourth goal in the game on their ninth shot. Sutton’s goal came at 8:03.
Charlottetown came back cutting Quebec leads on Keith Getson goal his 2nd of the regular season with 6:38 to play in second frame.
Quebec regained their three-goal lead 3:06 later as Matthew Boucher created his own chance by taking advantage of his own turnover. Quebec captain scored Quebec fifth goals getting a perfect pass from Olivier Mathieu.
Already been 1-in-4 with a man advantage Charlottetown got three other chances on the power plays connected three times. First occasion came with 2:20 remaining as Quebec forward Thomas Caron went in the box for tripping.
Already scoring Islanders first goal in the game Adam March came back in middle frame scoring his second of the game surprising Quebec goalie Baribeau between his pads using Quebec defenseman Thomas Dajcar as a screen.
Found guilty of tripping with 18.5 seconds remaining in second period Philipp Kurashev couldn’t do anything as he was sit in penalty box as Charlottetown cut Quebec lead to only one goal on Samuel Meisenheimer first goal of the season scored with 4.2 seconds remaining in the period.
Allowing a goal with 4.2 seconds left on second period trying to kill a penalty, Quebec has been found guilty of another penalty with 3:44 into third period to Benjamin Gagne leading to Charlottetown fifth goals, the second in the game by Keith Getson at 5:04. No other goal was scored leading to play a fourth periods three-on-three. For Quebec it was their second times in as many nights.
Quebec defenseman Benjamin Gagne gave Quebec their sixth wins as he scored his second of the game beating Matthew Welsh over his right shoulder with 12.8 seconds remaining to the overtime.
Quebec will end their three games-in-three nights over the weekend facing Acadie-Bathurst on Sunday afternoon.
