Quebec registers fourth straight in win over Blainville-Boisbriand Carozza ends game with two goals

QUEBEC CITY, P.Q. —Playing their second game in 24 hours, Quebec went to Blainville-Boisbriand. Coming off three straight strong performances Quebec won their last game before Christmas break, 3-0, against the Armada. Massimo Carozza, with two goals, led Quebec offensive.

After almost a period and half of scoreless hockey, Quebec broke the ice playing on four-on-four. Making first save on shot providing from blue line, Blainville-Boisbriand Remparts logo Oct 13netminder Francis Leclerc gave the puck to his defenseman Francis Roy. Falling on the ice as Roy tried to make pass Quebec forward Charlie Graaskamp pick the puck made pass to Massimo Carozza who wrist a shot beating Leclerc on his left side at 14:51.

Playing without many key players losing Philippe Sanche in their last confrontation in Quebec the Armada played very tight game clogging the middle. Best scoring chance in first period came from the stick of Bronson Beaton forcing Armada netminder for whom it was his first start in QMJHL to make key save to keep the score 0-0 after first period.

In the second period, the play seemed to open up with each side driving to the net taking good shot on either netminders but each times goaltenders has gad the last words until first goal scored playing four-on-four.

Quebec got three chances to play with man advantage without been successful, Blainville-Boisbriand got only two after forty minutes of play.

After scoring only one goal in almost two periods Quebec adds two more in span of 3:10 seconds. Zachary Moody completed the works of Charley Graaskamp and Ross MacDougall at 13:43 and 3:10 seconds later Massimo Carozza scores his second of the game in an empty net after Armada head coach Joel Bouchard pulled his starting netminder in favor of sixth players. Carozza second goal came at16:53.
