QUEBEC CITY, P.Q. — With only two exhibition games left and the 25 spots on the team already set, Philippe Boucher’s team went to Gatineau to face the Olympiques. Still tied after three periods of play, Quebec right winger Dereck Gentile scored the game winning goal leading the Quebec Remparts to 3-2 win after only 1:47 of play in  overtime.

Gatineau broke the ice with the first goal of the preseason scored by Anthony Gagnon beating Quebec goaltender Oliver Troop at 8:35 of the opening period.
Quebec replied less than four minutes later as left winger Olivier Mathieu scored his third of the exhibition season beating Olympiques netminder Tristan Berube at 12:11.
Quebec took the lead for first time in the game with Matthew Boucher beat Gatineau goaltender with exactly five minutes remaining in the middle frame.
Leading after two periods of play, Quebec saw the Olympiques come back with less than four minutes gone in the third period forcing both teams to play four periods offering the chance to the fans of seeing three-on-three exciting hockey.
Unfortunately for Gatineau’s fans they saw the visitors spoiled their pleasure as Gentile scores the game winning goal with only 1:47 gone in the overtime.
Designated as starting goaltender Tristan Berube played the whole game making 21 saves on Quebec 24 shots.
On Quebec side the 9th round selection (156 overall) in 2016 Oliver Troop also saw all action playing 63:13 seconds facing 28 shots from the Olympiques blocking 26 shots.
Both teams were blank in three power play occasions.
Quebec will return in action on Saturday night playing their last exhibition game hosting the Chicoutimi Sagueneens.
