QUEBEC CITY, P.Q. — Mikhail Grigorenko, Alex Belzile and Michael Beaudry were namedas Telus three stars of the week for the period spanning February 20th to 26th.
Totaling 6 points in two games, the Quebec right winger earned the first star. Playing against the Gatineau Olympiques last Friday, the young rookie who has already scored 37 goals this season collected four points with 3 goals on 8 shots in a 5-3 win.
In another important win versus the Victoriaville Tigres on Sunday 6-3, the Russian native registered two goals ending February with 9 goals in 10 games.
The second star went to Rimouski Oceanic right winger Alex Belzile who accumulated six points scoring two goals in two games.
Facing the Acadie-Bathurst and coming out with a 6-3 win on last Wednesday Belzile earned the first stars scoring the game winning goal adding 2 other assists. In a 7-4 win in Saturday’s game, the right winger scored his 20th goal of the year adding two assists. An 11th round selection in 2009 by the Titans, Belzile is just two points shy of 80.
The Val-d’Or Foreurs center Michael Beaudry has been named Telus third star ending his week with seven assists.
In Wednesday’s game, a 4-2 win against the Rouyn-Noranda, the Huskies center ended his game with 71 percent efficiency winning 12 of his 17 face off during the game.
In a 7-3 win against Prince Edward Island, the St-Eustache Quebec native earned the first stars registering 5 assists. On Sunday in a 7-3 win against the Drummondville Voltigeurs, Beaudry added two assists.
