Nashville, Tenn. – As elected and public health officials work to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the Nashville Predators have partnered with Governor Bill Lee and the State Economic Recovery Group (ERG), which is led by Mark Ezell, to distribute 20,000 free Smashville Strong masks to their city and corporate partners. The Predators are one of 20 flagship brands and businesses that are participating in the program, which will supply more than 200,000 face coverings throughout Tennessee.
With the only requirement for participating groups being that they assist in providing communities throughout the state with branded masks, each business will deliver the cloth face coverings across their own channels. The recipients of the 20,000 Predators masks include food and beverage and retail sites with locations across the state.
“Tennesseans have stepped up to do their part and keep their neighbors safe throughout this health crisis,” Director of the Economic Recovery Group Mark Ezell said. “The more we can celebrate masks and make them fun, the more lives we ultimately protect. These businesses are the heart and soul of Tennessee, and we’re grateful to them for helping our citizens stay healthy and have a little fun sporting their favorite brands while they’re at it.”

As the City of Nashville progresses through its Roadmap for Reopening plan, the Predators understand the key role that wearing masks will play in safely and quickly resuming business operations in Tennessee. Due to the great importance of wearing a face covering to reduce the spread of coronavirus, the Preds have adopted the “Mask On, Keep Smashville Strong” mantra and have made an additional 100,000 Nashville Predators branded masks available to other entities across the state or for purchase at NashvilleLockerRoom.com.
“We are so appreciative of Governor Lee and Commissioner Ezell to include the Nashville Predators in promoting the use of masks so SMASHVILLE can continue to open in the safest possible manner,” Nashville Predators President/CEO Sean Henry said. “By creating SMASHVILLE Strong and Predator-themed masks, we can all show our passion for the Preds while reinforcing the use of face coverings as we work to re-launch the economy and local businesses.”
