Predators win seventh straight, 6-1 Saros makes 33 saves in win - Update to follow

In Nashville, the Predators surrendered the first goal of the game to the visiting Minnesota Wild, midway through the opening stanza on Thursday night.

Connor Dewar scored at 9:51 for the Wild lead.

From that point on, the Predators scored six unanswered goals  in a 6-1 win, for their seventh straight victory.

Juuse Saros continued to make a case for Nashville not trading him away at the deadline, he made 33 saves in the win.

The Predators improved to 34-25-2.

Nashville replied to the Wild goal with two in the first period.

Yakov Trenin tied the game, 101, at 10:40.

Nashville took the lead on a marker form Cole Smith just eight seconds later for a 2-1 count to the Preds.

The Wild dropped to 28-26-6 off their second straight loss.

Nashville’s Filip Forsberg pushed the lead to 3-1 at 17:55 of the middle frame, scoring off a power play.

Leading 3-1 entering the third period, the Predators added three more markers in the frame.

Roman Josi pushed the advantage to 4-1 with 92 seconds gone in the third. .

Ryan O’Reilly ballooned the lad to 5-1 at 8:03 .

Ryan McDonagh finished the scoring for the Predators at 13:57 for the 6-1 final count on the scoreboard.

Filip Gustavsson made 25 saves in the loss.
