In Nashville Sunday, the Predators’ Roman Josi sparked a scoring outburst with two goals as the Preds overcame a 3-0 deficit to rally past the Dallas Stars with five unanswered goals in a 5-3 win.
“I think we battled hard,” Josi said. “Maybe we could’ve been a little smarter in the first (period), but guys showed up, guys battled hard, and I thought we played a pretty good game. I mean, there was a lot of penalty-killing in the first, but I think 5-on-5 we played well.”
Nashville improved to 27-21-8.
“If I get a chance to shoot it, sometimes it just goes that way,” Josi said. “You don’t get more looks, but the puck is just going in. It’s nice. As long as that happens, just try to keep shooting every puck.”
Calle Jarnkrok and Filip Forsberg added goals in the run.
“I was just trying to get my big feet moving, to be honest with you, on the blue line,” Forsberg said. “Just tried to get some speed, and it was pretty much a breakaway from the blue line. Just tried to shoot it low glove and fanned on the shot, and it went five-hole. Best shot in hockey, the miss.”
Jamie Benn, Patrick Sharp and Devin Shore had scored tp give the Stars the 3-0 lead.
“We’ve got to know by now,” Benn said. “We’ve had leads going into the third period and have got it done before. We just needed to get it done tonight, and we didn’t.”

Mike Fisher added an empty-nertter to seal the win.
“That one really stings. That’s a tough one where I thought our power play was going really well and did a lot of good things. That hurts,” Dallas head coach Lindy Ruff said.
Pekka Rinne picked up the win on 18 saves.
“They were awesome. Even when we were down, I thought the guys were playing extremely hard. They were competitive. I probably should say that we went to the [penalty box] too much, but I thought our guys had the right intentions and played a hard-fought game and stayed with it going out for the third period,” Nashville head coach Peter Laviolette said after the rally.
