It’s all change in Kirkcaldy as the Fife Flyers return to the ice this week, with a wave of positivity surrounding the club both on and off the ice.

A new management team has already begun making its mark with a number of fresh initiatives, while new Head Coach Jamie Russell will get his first look at his Flyers roster in action against Romanian side Corona Brasov. The visitors, who compete in the Hungarian Erste Liga and are now led by former Cardiff Devil and GB international Matthew Myers.
On getting started in Kirkcaldy, new Head Coach Russell said:
“It’s been a busy time getting everything ramped up for training camp. I love Fife – it’s been a great start! Week one will be intense as we only have a short window to prepare for our first exhibition game.
Our challenge is getting everyone up to speed with how we want to play. We need to build chemistry quickly, as none of our roster has played together before. This week against Brasov, we want to establish our identity and set the foundation for the habits we’ll play with all season.”
The Flyers will face Brasov twice this week, playing on Thursday and Saturday nights.
