Photo essay: PrairieThunder drop 5-2 decision to Mavericks

BLOOMINGTON, Ind – The Bloomington PrairieThunder’s Brett Holmberg scored twice (his 22nd and 23rd of the season), but the Missouri Mavericks came out on top 5-2 on Wednesday night at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Brandon Coccimiglio was named the number one star of the game for the Mavericks as he scored a goal and an assist. Steven Later scored the game winner for Missouri at 15:52 of the first period.

B loomington falls to 34-19-6 and is four points out of first place in the CHL’s Turner Conference. Missouri improves to 33-21-6 and is only two points behind Bloomington in fourth place.
