CHARLOTTE, NC – The Hershey Bears and Checkers mixed it up this week in Charlotte in the AHL’s Calder Cup playoffs. Trailing two games to one in the series entering the game on Wednesday, the Checkers needed a strong performance to get back to even. They did that and more this week in taking two straight from the defending cup champions and forcing the series back to Hershey leading 3-2.
The Checkers now need to take one of two games from the Bears who are going for a three-peat of the Calder Cup.
Pro Hockey News’ Tom Nelson was in Charlotte for the action on Wednesday and Friday and sent these images of the two matches.
