PHN’s Best Shots of the Stanley Cup: Pens edge out Nashville for series lead

PITTSBURGH – The Nashville Predators showed no signs of nerves in the opening game of the 2017 Stanley Cup Final.

What they did show was a bit of foolishness when James Neal took a penalty on a delayed call against them late in the first period.

That call gave the Pittsburgh Penguins a 5-on-3 skating advantage and they took the lead then added two more goals before the end of the frame.

The Predators responded with a goal in the second period and then came back in the third with two more to tie the game, 3-3.

But Jake Geuntzel scored the game-winner just minutes later.

The series resumes Wednesday in Pittsburgh.
