Rosemont, IL The Chicago Wolves (14-13-1-2) battled a wild yet intensive game Saturday evening at the Allstate Arena against their arch rivals the Rockford IceHogs (19-8-2-3).
The Wolves were looking for a spark after coming back at home with a loss against the IceHogs on December 30, 2015 and they got.
The game was set at 0 a piece going into the third period, but that changed when
Wolves right wing Zach O’Brien put’s one against IceHogs goaltender Mark Visentin put the Wolves up 1-0 with assists from Chris Butler and Scooter Vaughan in the third period at 10:44
The  Wolves would then get another goal by right winger Jordan Caron puts one home with an empty netter at 19:05 in the third period.
The Wolves would go on to win 2-0 giving goaltender Jordan Binnington his first season shut out, stopping all 28 shots.
The Wolves will try and continue where they left off tomorrow when they play the Lake Erie Monsters at the Allstate Arena at 4:00 PM.
