HUNTSVILLE, AL – The Havoc score first for the first time in five and hold on for the 3-1 win against the Pensacola Ice Flyers in front of 5,000+ fans at the Von Braun Center for Star Wars/Teddy Bear Toss Night.

Huntsville registered the game’s first goal off the stick of Dylan Nowakowski just under seven minutes into the opening frame. The Calgary, Alta. natives seventh of the season was assisted by Sy Nutkevitch and Rob Simpson.

“We talked about having a good start and it shows that we prepared for this game and the outcome shows it,” said Nowakowski.

Later in the period, Nolan Kaiser walked in on the right wing side faking the shot and finding Lou Educate on the goal mouth. Educate tapped home his tenth of the season to give Huntsville the 2-0 lead heading into the second.

With the Havoc pressuring the Ice Flyers in the second, Dylan Nowakowski scored his second of the night in the slot off a pass from Sy Nutkevitch make it a 3-0 game.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to play with good teammates,” says Nowakowski. “I feel like my linemates contribute a lot to my scoring. They find me in the right spots and I am just lucky enough to finish them.”

During a physical third period, Pensacola with the extra attacker in the final minute of regulation broke Tyler Steel’s shutout bid. But the Brown University goaltender was too much for Pensacola stopping 44 of 45 on the night to register his fourth win of the year.
