TORONTO – Team Europe is making noise in the World Cup of Hockey this year and improved to 2-0-0 on the tournament with a thrilling 3-2 overtime win Monday night over Team Czech Republic.
Leon Draisaiti scored the game-winner with 2:06 gone in the extra session. It was his second goal of the tournament.
The win pushed Team Europe closer to escaping the preliminary round of games and also pushed others teams in Group A to elimination including Team USA which needs a win over Canada Tuesday night.
