A nervous Steelers side found a way past a talented and dangerous Lightning team at Ice Sheffield on Wednesday evening.
Big John Armstrong led the way with 2 goals as the Steelers came from behind in the
third period to take both points in this cross confrence battle.
Steelers were without Scott Aarssen and Jonas Westerling who both sat out with short term injuries.

The Lightning have recent wins over Cardiff Devils and Belfast Giants and they showed why they are such a dangerous sides by then scoring two quick goals without reply.
First Francis Verreault-Paul and Paul Phillips scored within 49 seconds of each other to give MK a 2-1 road advantage.
Sheffiied hit back with Matt Marquardt scoring his first of the year to tie the game at 10.38
MK started the second period the better and Kevin King had the visitors 3-2 just 53 seconds in.
The Lightning were playing outstandingly well and had several chances to extend their lead. Mid way through the period they had the shift that changed the game. MK were dominate but the Steelers were both desperate and steadfast in their defending and killed off the Lightning’s advantage.
The tide had turned and the Steelers immediately grew in confidence creating chances of their own and were in fact unlucky not to be level at the break.
Into the final period and the Steelers needed a hero, they found one in John Armstrong.
7.30 in and Ben O’Connor picked the puck up and drove the net, his silky play found Armstromg who equalised with still enough time for either side to go on and grab the winner.
Having called few penalties in the game Tom Perring then went on a spree.
First in the box was Ludwog Karlsson on a double minor for high sticks. Before the Power-play had really started Steelers found themselves a man down, Levi Nelson for Intrferance.
Paul Phillips for tripping gave the Steelers of a 5/3 power-play to conclude regulation.
With just 18 seconds remaining the Steelers struck and put a dagger through the Lightning’s heart.

Steelers would take a late penalty, Joonas Ronnberg headed to the boix a few moments later. The Steelers won the fina face off and then smothered the puck to gvie a final scoreline of Stelers 4-3 Milton Keynes Lightning.
