PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Steelers fall in 2-0 loss to Belfast

The Steelers were shut out at home on Sunday in a frustrating night at the Sheffield Arena.

After a scoreless first period former Steeler Colin Shields scored a highly controversial opening goal to give the Giants the lead.

Despite 8 power-play chances the Steelers failed to convert on any of the great opportunites created leaving the Giants victors with the insurance empty net goal 4 seconds before the final hooter.

Steelers head coach Paul Thompson was dismissed from the game in the final period after a run in with the officials following the ejection from the game of forward Colton Fretter.
